24 September 2015; Today as we celebrate the Eid al-A’dha, I extend my heartfelt good wishes to all Maldivians and fellow Muslims around the world, and congratulate those performing the Hajj this year. We pray and look forward to your safe return, Insha’ Allah, rejuvenated and with renewed faith and strength.
On this important occasion, Muslims around the world unite to celebrate commitment and obedience to Almighty Allah, our shared Islamic values and the close bond between fellow Muslims, men, women, young and old. Eid- al A’dha is an occasion of remembering mercifulness and compassion bestowed upon our Ummah. It is also a time of donating to the poor and renewing our trust in humanity by providing assistance to those suffering from hunger, sickness, and oppression.
Let us pray to Almighty Allah for paradise to be granted to those who lost their lives in the horrific crane collapse and the stampede near Makkah and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
May God Almighty fill everyone’s life with abundance of peace, health, joy and happiness!
