13 February 2017, Male'; The Head of the South Asia Department at the U.K Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Ms. Laura Clarke called on the Foreign Minister, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Asim today.
At the meeting held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning, the Foreign Minister reflected on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties especially in the area of trade and investment and counterterrorism cooperation.
Foreign Minister was accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Secretary-Bilateral, Ms. Shiuneen Rasheed and Ms. Moomina Ibrahim, Assistant Directors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ms. Clarke was accompanied by His Excellency Mr. James Dauris, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Maldives and Mr. Ahmed Zaki, Political Officer at the British High Commission in Colombo.
