Processing Time

• Approximately 12 working days. It may take longer if necessary supporting documents are incomplete.

For a speedy service please ensure that all necessary documents are submitted when making your request.

Documents required for ID Renewal Application:

• Letter requesting ID renewal, with details of documents attached.

• ID Application Form, duly filled, including contact number and signature on all relevant boxes. Click here to download application form:

• Two passport-size photographs (white background). Please note that the photo should fit the requirements set by the Department of Immigration and Emigration. Requirements can be checked at the bottom of the application form.

• Present ID card

Fee Details for Renewal of ID Card

 Express postage (UK to Maldives)
 Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day by 1pm)
 Total £44.23

 Fees can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
