High Commissioner attends flag-raising ceremony at Marlborough House
High Commissioner Dr. Faizal attended a flag-raising ceremony in the grounds of Marlborough House, which marked Rwanda’s first Commonwealth Day.
Rwanda was admitted to the Commonwealth in November 2009, during the biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Trinidad and Tobago.
The function was attended by H.E. Mr. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, H.E. Mr. Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary-General and heads of missions in London.

At a meeting held today in Kuala Lumpur during President Nasheed's ongoing visit to Malaysia, Kosovo's President Dr Fatmir Sejdiu has thanked the government of the Maldives for being one of the first countries to recognise Kosovo’s independence.
