High Commissioner departs London on official trip to Port of Spain
High Commissioner Dr. Faizal has departed London today to participate with the delegation travelling from the Maldives to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009, at Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The delegation from the Maldives, headed by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, President of the Republic of Maldives, will be attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting being held from 27 to 29 November 2009.

At a meeting held today in Kuala Lumpur during President Nasheed's ongoing visit to Malaysia, Kosovo's President Dr Fatmir Sejdiu has thanked the government of the Maldives for being one of the first countries to recognise Kosovo’s independence.
