Maldives wins Runner-up Award for “Favourite Island” at the Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Travel Awards 2009.

At the 12th Readers’ Travel Awards ceremony held last night at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, Mr. Naushad Waheed, Deputy High Commissioner accepted the award on behalf of the Government of Maldives. Mr. Ahmed Shiaan, Counsellor also attended the function.

One of the most popular travel magazines in the UK, Condé Nast Traveller first started publishing in 1997, and the travel magazine has an annual circulation of 85,000.
