RELATIONS BETWEEN THE MALDIVES AND THE UNITED KINGDOM

As an active member of the Commonwealth, the Maldives retains close ties with the UK. Many Maldivians choose to study or work in the UK, with a few hundred of Maldivians thought to be living in the UK at any one time.
